About future Horngate books

A couple of years ago, I contracted with Samhain to publish two more Horngate Witches books. Then my son got sick and I had to put many things aside in order to take care of him. Those books were two of the things I had to set aside. Just recently, as I was figuring out my schedule for this next year, I learned that Samhain is closing its doors. They have reverted the rights on those unwritten books, so I am free to do what I want with them.

What that means is that I may do some shorter novels or novellas in order to get them out to you in between my contracts book. I’m working on leveling up on my writing so that I can write better and faster. I’m trying some new techniques, which so far are working.

I can’t say with any level of certainty when I’ll get something Horngate out, but I am determined to do so, and will be working on it.

I’m curious though. What would you like me to explore in future Horngate books?

I was extremely interested in the angels! I totally want to know about them and would like to see a story about them and some romance! Also it’s been a while since I’ve read the books but I do remember liking a character from another dimension.

I also enjoyed the angels quite a bit. I really like people or beings with extraordinary powers. Possibly bring in a powerful wizard or necromancer to offset the balance of magical powers? Other angels maybe? Whatever you write, I am looking forward to it. Thanks!

I love Max and really am excited to hear that her story will be continuing, so thanks for that. I’ve read all three books a couple of times and think your style and stories are terrific.

If you’re going to do a novella or some shorts to get back into the swing of it with Horngate, maybe you could focus on Giselle a little bit? I was actually starting to like her toward the end of the last book, and she was starting to seem more compassionate and human. In the first two books, it felt like she existed for Max to hate and thwart, but now it seems like there’s more to her.

I forget the characters’ names, but I’d LOVE to see something with the mage and the Gypsy smoke Witch; Their backstory AT LEAST would be fascinating.

I would love to learn more about the Guardians. We really never explored them enough and the books made a big deal about them. Have horngate fight them and end the war to come.

One more you could do a short story or book about Giselle also. Talk about her and her struggles in building horngate. You could tell her story.
