Superbowl

It was a really good game. Actually, the first half sort of put me to sleep, but the second half–wow. It was wild. I was rooting for the 49ers, but I couldn’t be sorry for
the Ravens winning. The second half had me on the edge of my seat. I loved it. One of the best Superbowls in awhile.

On the other hand, not so crazy about the commercials. I did like the Paul Harvey Dodge commercial, but that had to do with the memories of listening to him with
my folks, and growing up on the ranch. My parents were those farmers he was talking about. Days that never really ended and always knee-deep in something that
had to get done soon. I actually was part of that sometimes, though not on the level that they were. Farming is the hardest work there is, I think. I hated
the godaddy commercial with the model and nerd. The slurpy sounds were just plain gross. Nothing else stood out all that much, except maybe for The Big Bang
Theory commercial. I’d already scene the Budweiser Clydesdale commercial–it was going around FB all week. I was stumped with some ads. Couldn’t figure out
the point and wondered why they’d pay that much to make such a bad commercial.

It’s time to start thinking about the new book club entry. I’ll make a call for entries in the next couple of days. I really enjoyed our discussion and can’t wait to do it again.
I’m currently reading a lovely book called Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen. It is magical realism and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I’m also reading an ARC for
a new book that I both love and troubles me at the same time. I’m doing my best to read more. Last year I probably read less than I have in my whole life. So far this year
I have read at least six or eight books, maybe more. I’ve been doing a poor job of keeping track. But I’d like to. I need to start keeping a list.

Well I can’t add anything to your SuperBowl comments since mine would echo yours almost exactly (the GoDaddy one was borderline nauseous)

As far as the next book club entry I still would like to hear other people thoughts on The Nightman Cometh since I found it to be amazingly good (sometimes I see books much better than others)
