Today
I discovered that this is the last year that there’s a performance of Star Trek in the park in Portland this summer. Trouble with Tribbles. Totally going to go if it kills me.
Can’t find shoes. I know they are in boxes somewhere. Come out, come out, wherever you are!
Turns out blackout shades for a big arch window are spendy. Sadly I don’t have a choice as cardboard isn’t a good solution and I must have blackout since it’s my bedroom.
The dog has sore feet. Or something. He hates us touching his feet when he’s lying on the couch. Gets up and moves and makes annoyed sounds. I know his toenails are too long and I’m working on incrementally shortening them, but it will take time. I don’t know if there’s anything else at issue. He’s not been on hot pavement and he’s not limping. I haven’t seen any signs of injuries on his pads or any thorns or burrs.
My wrists are hurting. I hope I’m not giving myself carpal tunnel with unpacking. Which wouldn’t be the first time, incidentally, and I’m trying hard not to do it.
I had a bowl of blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries with my lunch. Life is good.
Still haven’t found a peach tea that I like. Am contemplating this added to a black tea and iced. Or possible this.

There is a product that is made out of a stiff pleated paper that is cut to fit windows and then is taped to the top of the window and is allowed to fall to fill in the window. It can be cut to fit half round windows and I thought it came in a room darkening style. It has been many years since I have seen it though, so I can’t really say if it is still around. I think it was available from Wal-Mart (of course) and either Lowe’s or Home Depot. My gut is saying Home Depot might still have them.
How about a heavy curtain?
