The Jetson’s House

I have decided I want a Jetson’s house with a built in maid. Or butler. Or whatever you want to call someone who cleans so I don’t have to. I don’t mind cleaning a lot of things, but I really hate the bathrooms. I don’t know why. It’s not like they are hard, and if you do it with some frequency, there’s not that much to clean. We have three bathrooms in this house and right now, I’m the one who cleans them. I planned to clean all three today. I couldn’t force myself to do it. I finally started at 5:30 p.m. Yeah. I know. Procrastinate as long as you can because the world could end and you might not have to do it. Only I finally had to do it. They are sparkly. It will all need re-cleaning in nothing flat. Sigh.

The rest of the day I did other smaller chores. We did take the girlie shopping and found a number of things on super duper sale–as in 80 to 90% off. Plus another extra 20% from a coupon I had. Got some good deals and girlie got some pants that actually fit. No dresses though. I am having a hard time finding her dresses that are appropriate and fit her. She’s a lot taller and wears a larger size than her peer group, but I don’t want her in tiny little skimpy things.

I’m thinking about my closet. I winnowed a ton of stuff when we moved, but I look at a lot of things and wonder if I will ever wear them again. For one, I have some pant suits. I thought I’d teach in them but in MT it was more a jeans and sweater sort of place, and now–well, I AM a jeans sort of person. I don’t think I’ll wear that stuff. A lot of it is hardly worn. Trying to decide if I want to consign it, keep the blazers and maybe where them (I do like blazers), or something else. That something else I’d like to do is maybe find one of those places where women in need can go to get clothing for interviews and jobs and donate them. I’ll have to see if I can find something like that.

We did go to an open house up the street today. My folks are considering moving closer to us and so we were checking out that house. It was about perfect, but I’m not sure if the folks would agree. We’ll see.
