Enter the weekend
Two weeks down on the first block of the semester and 1.5 left. The weekend is here and much has to be done. I sent the proof pages back on Blood Winter this week. That means the book will come out on time. And I graded a bunch of papers. And got the kids off to the first two days of school. This weekend I have to go and get shoes for both kids. The school has a new gym floor and they have to have tennis shoes that haven’t been worn outside. That means I have to drive to Butte, which is 75 miles away. So I’m making a list of things to get while I’m there.
So I’ve been off aspartame a week. I think I’m feeling positive effects. I wonder how long it takes to leave my body. I wonder what problems it has caused me over the years? I need to do more research on it. I am wondering if it has been aggravating my ocular migraines, or making my sleep issues worse. I also wonder if it’s affected my weight issues and insulin resistance issues.
I have been working on some new things, slowly, and hopefully in the next couple of weeks I’ll be able to pick up the pace as I get a regular schedule going.
Still haven’t found peach tea. But that’s another thing I’ll look for in Butte.
I have a Kindle. I’m liking the look of the new paper-white kindle or whatever it’s called. I like that it has a light. I think I need to do some reading this weekend. I wonder which book I should dig into . . .
What are you reading this weekend?
